Scenes — the workspace
This is where you’ll spend most of your time. With the plot fully worked out in Structure, the Scenes screen turns each scene into prose — one scene at a time, through three short steps. It’s two panels: a scene tree on the left to move around your book, and the step you’re on in the middle.
Where it fits
Everything before this stage was planning — the world, the StoryGraph, the chapters and scenes and beats. Nothing you did earlier was prose. The Scenes workspace is where the plan becomes writing: you take a scene, confirm its concept, generate its blueprint, and render the prose. Do that scene by scene and the book fills in.
Three steps, per scene
Pick a scene in the left tree and the middle panel walks it through three steps, shown as a stepper across the top. Each step feeds the next — you don’t skip ahead:
The names change with your role: an author sees Scene Intent · Contract · Text; the engine calls the same three vector · bible · render. Same steps, plainer words.
The scene tree & your progress
The left panel lists every act, chapter and scene, each with a status dot — whether it has an Intent, a Contract, and finished Text. Click any scene to open it; the workspace jumps to the furthest step it has reached, so a half-done scene opens where you left off. With no scene selected, the middle shows a book summary — scenes done, contracts generated, total words, and a per-chapter progress bar — so you always know how far along the whole book is.
Which tier, where
The pages that follow open each step in turn — starting with Scene Intent, the concept the whole scene is built from.
