THRESHOLD
THRESHOLD is a slow burn. It watches a building channel — tension, stakes — and does nothing until the pressure crosses the level you set. Then it fires.

THRESHOLDOperator
Stays quiet until pressure builds up, then fires — a slow burn.
THRESHOLD sits on a scalar channel and holds until that channel builds up to your level. Small pressures accumulate with no visible effect; the moment they cross the line, it triggers.
AffectsWhen a slow-building pressure finally breaks — the release point of a slow burn.
Wire itPut it on a tension or stakes wire and set Level to how far the pressure must rise before it triggers.
Parameters
Level (0–1)
level · numberHow far the channel must build before it fires.
AffectsSets the trigger point of the slow burn.
Example
0.8Use-case variants
- Last straw — small pressures accumulate until one tips it over
- Breaking point — a character holds until the level is crossed, then snaps
Set the level too high and it never fires; too low and there’s no build-up to feel.
