Goal
Goal names what a character is driving toward — the objective that pulls the arc forward. Its point is whose objective it is, and what exactly they want.

What a character is driving toward.
Goal fixes a character’s objective — the thing they’re after that gives the arc its direction. What matters is the viewpoint (whose goal) and the objective itself.
AffectsGives the arc a direction; the engine seeds the scene’s goal from it.
Wire itSet it early for a character; the beats that follow push toward or against it.
