Book — read & export
The last screen, and the payoff. Book stitches every rendered scene into one continuous read — chapter by chapter, in book typography — and hands you an export drawer that turns it into a real, formatted manuscript you can download and publish.
The reading view
The centre shows the current chapter exactly as a reader would meet it — a centred heading, your chapter title, and the prose in book typography, with scene breaks, dialogue and inner thought all set properly. The chapter list on the left moves you around; arrows at the foot of each chapter step to the next. It’s a true read-through, not an editor — the place to see whether the book flows as a whole.
Progress at a glance
Each chapter in the list carries a status dot — a green check when every scene has text, an amber dot when it’s partly written, dim when it’s empty — so you can see how far the book has come without opening each one. The bar along the bottom totals it up: scenes ready, chapters with text, the word count and an estimated reading time. Export appears once at least one scene is written.
Exporting your book
Export opens a drawer on the right. Pick a format first — everything you set below is saved automatically, so you can tune it and re-download freely:
Metadata
Set the book’s Title, Subtitle and Author for the export. Leave the title blank to fall back to your project settings.
Layout
For DOCX, EPUB and PDF you control how the book is set:
- Title page · Contents · Page numbers — toggle each front-matter piece on or off
- Font & size — serif or sans, 10–14 pt
- Page size — A5, A4, Letter, or trade 6×9 (the common paperback trim)
- Line spacing — 1.0 to 2.0
- Scene divider — how scene breaks look — * * *, ✦ ✦ ✦, a rule, or a blank line
- Drop caps — a large opening capital per chapter (EPUB/PDF)
Front & back matter
Optional pages that make it feel like a published book — each a checkbox that opens its own field:
- Epigraph — an opening quote (text + attribution)
- Dedication — a dedication page
- Copyright page — a formal copyright notice
- About the author — a back-matter bio
